Does it work offline?
Barcode lookups need an internet connection. Label-photo analysis runs on-device for products not yet in the database.
Does it catch hidden gluten like malt or modified starches?
Yes — we scan for every known gluten source: malt, modified wheat starch, most soy sauces (which contain wheat), beer, and regular oats (cross-contamination risk).
Is it safe to rely on for celiac disease?
Gluten Safety is a tool to help you make faster decisions — it is not a medical device and not a substitute for reading labels yourself or consulting your doctor or dietitian. Always verify ingredient information on the packaging.
What if a product isn’t in the database?
